Rediscovering your child’s eye

Day 8

Exercise – Find something to look at. What you chose is up to you but start with a single item.  Once you have your chosen object, look at it intently for several minutes. Imagine you are going to paint it. Now do a word painting.

The water glass

It is a tall slim glass almost full of water.  The glass sits on a birch effect coffee table and the ceiling lamps cast shadows from different directions.  The shadows form a V shape, the one on the left is quite faint but the one on the right has a beautiful pattern of rings of different depths and widths.

Through the glass and the water in it, the edge of the white paper napkin behind it is visible.  There are different points where the light is reflected brightly at the bottom of the glass and around the top of the water.
